CMA Cooperativa Maestri d’Arte
Operating since the early eighties, we are the first Ceramists’ Cooperative composed by graduated students from the Art School in Oristano. Over the years we paticipated in many national and international exhibitions and we are committed to promoting Sardinian knowledges and excellences.
We immediately followed the Oristano’s Figoli tradition , reintroducing typical forms as the ring-shaped amphoras, the pintada jug, the ancient jars, the pourers and traditional cockerels made by using the sgraffito enameling technique, attested in Oristano since Giudicati’s period.
The creativity of each one of us, continuously enriches our productions: vials and bowls, decorated by embossing and using stamps inspired by pintadere; dinner sets decorated with light blue and yellow enamels; wall panels with peacocks and the tree of life; stylized animals taken from Sardinian traditional carpet’s representations; ceramics often realised using local clays.
